The SCUTUM project is to hold a Think Tank titled “Advanced technology in support of dangerous goods transport” in occasion of the 8th European ITS Congress in Lyon on the 7th of June 2011.

During the SCUTUM Think Tank, representatives from Institutions, users and technology/ service providers will have the opportunity to share their ideas and experiences on the use and benefits of ITS and Satellite Navigation (EGNOS/Galileo) in the transport of dangerous goods.

The event will give SCUTUM the occasion to present the results of the first six-month real life operations using EGNOS, and to show a live demonstration of a truck transporting hydrocarbon in France, equipped with an on-board unit enabled to use EGNOS (EGNOS Open Service and EGNOS Commercial Service/EDAS).

Numerous transport stakeholders and experts have already registered.
